Privacy Policy
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government handles personal information obtained through the Program to Attract Overseas Companies in Collaboration with Financial Institutions (Tokyo Global Connect) (hereinafter referred to as the program) in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003) (hereinafter referred to as the Act) as follows regarding information collection, use, and management (hereinafter referred to as personal information).
Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)
This refers to information that can be used to identify specific individuals, such as addresses, names, phone numbers, and email addresses, that is received by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government through the program.
Article 2 (Collection of Personal Information)
When the Tokyo Metropolitan Government collects personal information through the program, it is in principle based on the voluntary provision (registration) of information by the user.
When collecting personal information, the purpose of collection is clearly stated. The collection of personal information is conducted within the scope necessary to achieve the stated purpose.
Article 3 (Purpose of Use of Personal Information)

The personal information obtained in this matter will be used only within the scope of the purposes of use stated below. If the information is to be used beyond the stated purposes, the user’s prior consent will be obtained.

Planning, operational management, and various other activities related to supporting women’s empowerment in the program
(2)
Notifications such as announcements related to support that lead to business matching in the program
(3)
Requests for various surveys and questionnaires related to the program
(4)
Communications, such as responses to and confirmations of opinions or requests related to the program
(5)
Emergency communications, inquiries, and other responses
(6)
Other activities incidental to the purposes mentioned above

We will not use or provide personal information to third parties beyond the intended purpose for which it was collected except as required by law or similar circumstances.
However, with regard to information such as user attributes that have been statistically processed, there may be cases where such information is made public provided that it does not include any personal information.

The handling of personal information may be outsourced for business operations within the scope of the purposes of use outlined in Paragraph 1 of this Article.
In such cases, a contract will be concluded with the subcontractor requiring the protection of personal information, and necessary and appropriate supervision will be conducted regarding the management of the entrusted personal information.
Article 4 (Management of Personal Information)
We will observe the Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance on the Protection of Personal Information” (Ordinance No. 113 of December 21, 1990) as well as related government guidelines and other laws concerning the proper handling of personal information in order to safeguard the personal information obtained through the program from leaks, loss, or tampering.
Furthermore, in accordance with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s privacy policy, we will implement appropriate security measures and manage personal information with strict oversight. We will implement employee training and supervision to ensure the proper handling of personal information of users in the program.
In order to operate the program safely, we may take necessary measures such as suspending use and deleting or correcting obtained personal information and other data as needed.
Article 5 (Information of Users Not Containing Personal Information)
